SaaS Development for Businesses in Austria & DACH
Custom SaaS platforms built from scratch. No page builders, no templates — every line of code is yours and tailored exactly to your business model. I develop your product from the first database schema to the production deployment.
My Tech Stack
I rely on a modern, battle-tested stack that proves itself daily in my own products:
- Next.js with TypeScript — Server and client rendering in one framework, type-safe from API to button
- PostgreSQL — Relational database for complex business logic, proven for decades
- Redis — Caching, sessions, and real-time features like queues or pub/sub
- Hetzner servers — European infrastructure starting at €6/month
- Nginx + PM2 — Reverse proxy and process manager for stable, self-healing deployments
This stack scales seamlessly from an MVP with 50 users to thousands of active accounts — without ever needing to rethink the architecture.
From Idea to MVP
Every SaaS project starts with an intensive analysis. I take the time to understand your business model — not just the features, but also the monetization, target audience, and growth strategy. From there, a clear plan emerges:
- Requirements engineering — Which features does the MVP actually need? What can wait for version 2?
- Database design — The foundation everything builds on. Multi-tenancy, permissions, data model
- API development — RESTful or tRPC, depending on requirements, always type-safe
- Frontend — Responsive UI with React/Next.js, optimized for conversion and usability
- Deployment — CI/CD pipeline, staging and production environment, domain, SSL
The timeline always depends on scope and complexity — blanket estimates aren't serious. You get regular updates and can test, give feedback, and adjust direction at any time.
Real-World Example: Baseloq
Baseloq is my own SaaS product and the best proof of what's possible with this stack. It's a WhatsApp-based workforce management solution that I built completely from scratch:
- WhatsApp Business API — Employees report sick, log work hours, or receive shift schedules directly via WhatsApp
- 25 languages — Automatic translation so every employee can communicate in their language
- Stripe billing — Subscriptions, invoices, and payment management fully integrated
- Admin dashboard — Real-time overview of all employees, shifts, and absences
Baseloq runs on a single Hetzner server, processes hundreds of WhatsApp messages daily, and has an uptime of over 99.9%. This is exactly the quality and reliability I bring to your project.
What It Costs
Every SaaS project is individual — scope, complexity, and integrations determine the price. I work with fixed prices: after a brief conversation, you get a clear quote. No timesheets, no hidden fees, no unpleasant surprises.
The fixed price covers the entire development: from planning and design to the production deployment including the first months of hosting. After that, ongoing server costs apply, which on Hetzner typically range between €6 and €30 per month.
Why fixed price? Because I know from experience how long a project takes. And because you as a client deserve planning certainty. If I misjudge, that's my risk — not yours.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a SaaS project cost?
It depends heavily on scope and complexity — blanket pricing isn't serious. After a brief initial call, you get a clear quote with scope and delivery date, without hidden costs.
What technology stack do you use for SaaS?
Next.js with TypeScript on the frontend, PostgreSQL as database, deployed on Hetzner Cloud in Europe. The stack is deliberately lean — fast, maintainable, no vendor lock-in.
Do you work with existing development teams?
Yes — I work remotely and integrate with existing teams across the DACH region. Whether as sole developer on a small MVP or reinforcement on an ongoing project.
